Business Source Complete SWOT Analyses of Companies (RRC student or staff login required). Click on this title link to retrieve more than 5000 SWOT analysis reports in full text from the EbscoHost Business Source Complete database. The reports analyse individual companies (mostly American) according to the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats affecting them. In doing so, the reports also provide insight into key factors affecting the industry sector as a whole. You can modify the search by adding search terms that reflect the industry sector you are interested in (e.g., electronics):

Business Source Complete Company Profiles. An alphabetical title index to company profiles in the medical and health sciences sectors with links to the full text. The list indicates the country in which the company is located and the company's main industry sector. The "Match Any Words" feature lets us filter the list by country (e.g., Canada) or sector (e.g., Pharmaceuticals). An RRC student or staff login is required. Edgar. The US Securities and Exchange Commission's "Edgar" site includes detailed "10K" (annual) and "10Q" (quarterly) reports which the SEC requires from companies that are traded on U.S. stock markets. This applies to some Canadian companies (e.g., Nortel). Click on "Search for Company filings".
SEDAR Company Profiles. Click on a letter for an alphabetical list of companies; then click on a company name; then click on "View this company's documents". SEDAR (System for Electronic Document Analysis and Retrieval) provides full text documents for Canadian companies that file information with the Canadian Depository for Securities. Documents include press releases, interim financial statements and company annual reports.
