Using Other Libraries

Click on the links in the left column for links to sections of this guide.

If a book or periodical article is not available in the RRC Library, you have several possible options for obtaining it. To see more information about each of these topics, click on the links in the left navigation bar.

  • Library catalogues. These can help you locate books, journals or other items which you may be able to borrow directly or through Interlibrary loan.
  • Interlibrary loan. The RRC Library provides this service free to students and staff. Books and journal articles can be ordered through our online forms. We will try to track them down and borrow them for you.
  • Reciprocal borrowing. The RRC Library has arrangements with other Manitoba educational institutions to give students borrowing privileges at all participating libraries.
  • Special libraries. Many specialized libraries allow members of the general public to use their resources. Borrowing is not usually allowed, but photocopying facilities and interlibrary loan are often available.
