Stop 4: Catalogue Terminals

The terminals in this area give you access to the Library's online catalogue which lets you look up books, videos and other items on library shelves by keyword, subject, title, author or call number.

The Microsoft Office suite is NOT available on these terminals. Users requiring access to these programs must use the terminals in the Computer Lab or the Library Classroom.

The terminals' default login gives users restricted access to the web. Full access to the web requires College users to log in with their own student or staff logins.

To print from the Library computers you must have a valid network account and available funds in your Equitrac printing account. Ask at the Information Desk for details.

If you are a guest you may apply for a temporary guest account and purchase printing credits for 1 day use. Guest accounts expire at the end of every day.

A microfilm / microfiche reader/scanner and printer is also located in this area at the front of the Library. Page images can be printed or captured in digital form. Ask at the Information Desk for assistance.

Game playing and chat are not allowed on any Library computers or through laptop network connections.

Also, when using any College terminal on the Internet, you are subject to the College's Acceptable Use of Computer Facilities Policy, which covers such issues as pornography, copyright, and unauthorized tampering with software and equipment.

The policy is posted in all College computer labs.
