ASC: English as an Additional Language & Writing Supports

About our English as an Additional Language (EAL) Supports

In response to the COVID-19, the Academic Success Centre’s English as an Additional Language (EAL) supports have moved to individualized online language tutoring,  as well as online help desks and group tutoring for students. Instructors are encouraged to connect with the EAL team for customized program supports to address specific student needs.

Trained EAL specialists and tutors work with students using program-specific material and assignments. EAL staff help students with reading and taking notes effectively; developing program-specific vocabulary and pronunciation; and organizing ideas and expressing them clearly for presentations and writing assignments.

Please review our Academic Success Centre Online Academic Support webpage to learn more about the full range of supports available to students while courses are being delivered by distance.
