Library Proxy URL Changes

On 27 June 2022, links going through the Library proxy server have changed.

1. In the hostname portion of the URL we dropped the ".mb".
2. After the hostname, we dropped the port number, i.e., ":2047" or ":2048."

Prior to the change:

https://login.athena.rrc.mb.ca:2047/login?url=https://www.acm.org/dl

After the change:

https://login.athena.rrc.ca/login?url=https://www.acm.org/dl

https://ebookcentral-proquest-com.athena.rrc.mb.ca:2048/lib/redriver-ebooks/detail.action?docID=5345176

After the change:

https://ebookcentral-proquest-com.athena.rrc.ca/lib/redriver-ebooks/detail.action?docID=5345176

Making changes

The Library has made the necessary adjustments on its websites. 

Instructors who have added links to electronic resources in their Learn courses may discover that their link no longer works. If this is the case, follow these instructions to fix the link:

1. Replace "athena.rrc.mb.ca" with "athena.rrc.ca" (remove ".mb")
2. Wherever you see ":2047" or ":2048", just delete it. Replace it with nothing.
