There are two copyright related workshops which may be offered to classes or faculty groups:
The Copyright Officer at RRC Polytech offers 1-hour sessions that will introduce students to the Copyright Act of Canada and the Copyright Policy at RRC Polytech.
Students have a responsibility to use the Copyright content of others fairly (including course materials created by instructors for which the copyright belongs to RRC Polytech). This session is intended to build a base awareness for students of our P7 Copyright Policy at RRC Polytech, and support students engaging with copyright materials during their study.
The sessions are also tailored to the respective program to provide a base understanding of Copyright expectations around use of protected content as a student, and considerations for changed expectations around copyright when they enter the workforce.
This session helps students build a foundational understanding of Copyright Law in Canada and fosters critical thinking skills that support the legal use and respect of Copyright content.
The Copyright Officer endeavors to design and deliver sessions tailored to the program so that students are engaged by the session and have a base awareness of copyright when they enter the workforce.
