About Peer Tutoring

Peer Tutoring is one of our many free tutor-led supports designed to help students succeed in their program. Peer Tutoring is now available online only to students using WebEx or MS Teams.

Students can book an appointment with a Peer Tutor and/or a Tech Peer Tutor.

Peer Tutors: Provide course content tutoring to students.
Tech Peer Tutors: Help students develop their tech literacy skills and familiarity with using LEARN, HUB, WebEx, MS Teams, and Office 365.

What Do Peer Tutors Do?

At the most basic level, Peer Tutors use content knowledge and familiarity with course materials to help students better understand and apply course content.

Peer Tutors increase success by working alongside Red River College Polytechnic students to improve content knowledge and academic learning skills providing the opportunity to review, practice and question new material learned in class. Peer Tutors also assist in building the foundational skills needed for success at Red River College Polytechnic.

Peer Tutors strive to help students become independent and confident life-long learners through providing tutorial services in a safe, supportive environment that accommodates a diversity of learning and cultural backgrounds.
