Research Services

Research Consultation

Research Consultations are usually booked by Library users such as faculty, students in research intensive programs, or those engaged in applied and external research projects. Topics such as open access, research data management, scholarly communication, or research material requests can be discussed in a consultation.

  • Research consultations can happen over Teams or in-person, depending on your preference. The librarian or library staff member will provide you with an online meeting invitation for your consultation once you agree on a mutually convenient time.
  • Research consultations should be booked with as much notice as possible to give the librarian or library staff assisting you an appropriate time to review your initial questions.

Research Material Consultation

Before requesting a research material consultation, it is a good idea to:

  1. Have a clear research question in mind,
  2. Have already completed some initial searching.

If you're new to literature searching or just getting started, you can visit a Library Service Desk, email us at library@rrc.ca, or connect with us via our Ask Us chat service on the Library website.
