The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) serves Canadians - and the world - with credible and relevant tools and resources to improve workplace health and safety programs and advance health and safety in the workplace.

Manitoba’s labour force is comprised up of approximately 665,000 workers and over 75,000 employers. Approximately 90 per cent of these workplaces are under the provincial jurisdiction of The Workplace Safety and Health Act and its associated regulations.

Workplace Safety and Health enforces The Workplace Safety and Health Act and its three associated regulations in order to ensure Manitoba’s workplaces are safe and healthy.

A multi-module learning tool that updates NLM's earlier Tox Tutor series and provides an introduction to fundamental toxicological principles and concepts. Aims to inform the general public, serve as an ancillary curriculum to a first level undergraduate toxicology course, and equip users of NLM's toxicology databases with a working knowledge of the science's basic principles, in order to better interpret their search results. Currently provides an overview of toxicology and describes the relationship between drug dosage and toxicity. Future modules will describe how cells and tissues react and respond to toxic insult and will review the various factors that influence toxicity. Also provides a link to the 2nd edition of the IUPAC Glossary of Terms Use in Toxicology. Modules can be viewed via the online tutorial or as PDF documents.
