The Canadian Geotechnical Society is the leading organization for geotechnical engineering and related geoscience in Canada. The CGS is dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and the creation of opportunities to exchange information among individuals from academia (both faculty and students), consulting, government, industry, contractors, and various providers of geotechnical-related products and services.

CGS Manitoba is constantly organizing events throughout the year, such as lunch seminars, short courses, Cross Canada Lecture Tour (CCLT) events, student competitions, networking and industry events, as well as the annual CGS Golf Tournament held each summer.

The CGS-MB Student Chapter is a student-led organization founded by the Canadian Geotechnical Society to develop a bridge between industry professionals and Manitoban students.

The Deep Foundations Institute is an international membership association of contractor, engineers and suppliers in the field of design and construction of deep foundations and excavations.

The Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC) is a not-for-profit corporation originally founded in 1887 under the name “Canadian Society of Civil Engineers” (not to be confused with today’s CSCE which is the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering). There are now 12 constituent societies that are part of the EIC federation, to whose societies belong over 25,000 Canadian engineers.

As the training and education arm of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the National Highway Institute (NHI) has a long and rich history of innovation and expertise in delivering transportation training. Improving the conditions and safety of our nation's roads, highways, and bridges means continuously building on the skills of highway professionals and enhancing job performance in the transportation industry across the country.
