This set of resources has been designed and compiled for students who are considering entering a college program at Red River College Polytechnic. Please review these resources to help you understand the language demands of college, and evaluate your own skills and readiness for beginning an academic program.

This worksheet will guide you in conducting research to understand what your program of interest involves. It will also help you reflect on your readiness to meet the potential academic challenges.
Complete the Listening Worksheet
Understand college expectations for listening to give you a better idea of how you will need to use this skill in post-secondary education.
Complete the Reading Worksheet
Understand college expectations for reading to give you a better idea of how you will need to use this skill in post-secondary education.
Complete the Writing Worksheet
Understand college expectations for writing to give you a better idea of how you will need to use this skill in post-secondary education.
Complete the Speaking Worksheet

Complete the College Readiness Language Skills Self-Evaluation.
