First Nations Information Governance Centre (FNIGC)
FNIGC is responsible for a wide-range of work, from research and planning to surveys and training. But our core responsibility is the development and administration of national First Nations survey initiatives with our Regional Partners. These currently include: the First Nations Regional Health Survey (FNRHS) and the First Nations Regional Early Childhood, Education and Employment Survey (FNREEES).

Aboriginal Population Profile, 2016 Census
This product presents information from the Census of Population focusing on the Aboriginal identity population of various geographic areas. These geographic areas include: Canada, provinces and territories, census metropolitan areas and census agglomerations, census divisions, census subdivisions, Métis settlements, Inuit regions, Indian band and Tribal Council areas, modern treaty and self-government agreement areas and historic treaty areas. Data are available for the Aboriginal identity population by age groups for selected socio-demographic characteristics.

This infographic series is a partnership project between Statistics Canada and Indigenous Services Canada. The infographics are available for various geographic areas including: Canada, provinces (on-reserve), territories, First Nation/Indian band or Tribal Council areas, Inuit regions, Métis settlements and select census subdivisions.
