Search history is more than a running record of the searches you have completed. There are a number of actions that can be done here.
1. Action links
- Print search history - print the list (as displayed)
- Retrieve (saved) search - from your EBSCOhost account (EBSCOhost account must be signed in in order to use folders)
- Save Search - Save the search to your EBSCOhost account (EBSCOhost account must be signed in in order to use folders) - saved searches can be permanent (until you choose to delete them) or only 24 hours, are named and can be retrieved at any time.
2. Selection checkboxes, choose which searches you want to apply actions to, such as save search or add to query
3. Search ID - each search is given its own ID, these ids can be used to create new, complex searches (i.e. S2 AND S4 ) without retyping the whole search string.
4. Search buttons
- Search with AND, Search with OR - use these along with the checkboxes to combine searches as described in #3
- Delete Search - use with checkbox to remove searches from the search history
5. A description of the expanders and limiters applied to that search
6. Actions
- View results - pull up all the results of that search - this is how the search is now - if you redo this search in a month the results may be different as new content may be added, and older content removed.
- View details - about when the search was last run
- Revise search - this should put the search back into the query box so it can be edited (it doesn't appear to be working at this time)
