A federal site that lists major importers in Canada grouped into Harmonized System (HS) codes. Shows total import values and who exactly the major importers are. Easier to drill down using the site than to search by the HS code you think might apply.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission's "Edgar" site includes detailed "10K" (annual) and "10Q" (quarterly) reports which the SEC requires from companies that are traded on U.S. stock markets. This applies to some Canadian companies (e.g., Nortel). Click on "Search for Company filings".
