Study Space

Our Notre Dame Campus (NDC) location offers multiple spaces to study. A variety of setups are situated under the skylight, by a window, in a study room, in private carrels, or at tables with whiteboards nearby. Find your ideal study space at the NDC Library.

Study Rooms

The south side of the Library has six study rooms. Students may not book these rooms.

Important! Students may use these study rooms if they are not booked by staff. Using the link below, students should check the booking grid to see if staff have already booked the space.

View current bookings of these rooms.

Quiet Study Area and Laptop/Study Carrels

The north side of the Library is designated an individual quiet study area. If noise is creating a disturbance in the Quiet Study Area, notify Information Desk staff who will see if it can be alleviated. Some carrels on the Quiet Study side of the Library are equipped with power bars for laptops and mobile devices.

Attending Remote Classes While on Campus

While on campus, students can participate in online classes by logging onto Learn.rrc.ca using a WiFi enabled laptop, tablet or mobile device. The device used must be capable of running Chrome, Safari or Internet Explorer. Please ensure that your device is charged and ready prior to your class, as power outlets are not available in all study spaces.

The Group Study Area of the Library is a great place to use your own device. Students are encouraged to use headphones while listening to computer audio in all Library shared spaces. Note: headphones must be used while participating in any online classes anywhere on campus.

Students who do not have access to a WIFI enabled device and need to participate in online classes while on campus can visit the Library and use a desktop computer.

Though the Library computers do not have headphones, mics, or webcams, these items can be borrowed from the Library separately:

Webcams
Students can borrow webcams from the Library for use with a personal device, or a Library computer.

Headphones
Students must use headphones while on campus and participating in an online class. Headphones can be borrowed from the Library or purchased through the campus bookstore if required.
