How to Book a Quiet Pod Book a Quiet Pod
The Group Study side of the NDC Library has three quiet pods. Students can book these pods or up to 2 hours daily.
The quiet pods are a compact, soundproof space within the Library that provides students and staff with a distraction-free spot for focused work and private conversations. These pods are equipped with comfortable seating, ample lighting and built-in airflow.
Intended Use:
Solo Study; Small team meetings – Pods have a maximum capacity of 4 people; Virtual Meetings; Calls that require privacy and minimal background noise; Confidential Conversations.
Alternative option:
If your group requires a larger bookable space, the Student Association manages two larger meeting rooms at Notre Dame Campus which are bookable through their booking site.
The south side of the Library has six study rooms. Students may not book these rooms.
Important! Students may use these study rooms if they are not booked by staff. Using the link below, students should check the booking grid to see if staff have already booked the space.

The north side of the Library is designated an individual quiet study area. If noise is creating a disturbance in the Quiet Study Area, notify Information Desk staff who will see if it can be alleviated. Some carrels on the Quiet Study side of the Library are equipped with power bars for laptops and mobile devices.
While on campus, students can participate in online classes by logging onto Learn.rrc.ca using a WiFi enabled laptop, tablet or mobile device. The device used must be capable of running Chrome, Safari or Internet Explorer. Please ensure that your device is charged and ready prior to your class, as power outlets are not available in all study spaces.
