Laptop Loan Program
Library and Academic Services has laptops available with a loan period of one semester.
Borrowing a laptop is free of charge; however, students assume the financial responsibility of replacing the laptop in the case of loss or damage. When you borrow a laptop you will be required to complete a Security Agreement.
Booking a laptop
You may request a laptop through our new Equipment Booking system.
The following information is required:
- Please note, we have two locations with laptops. Please book the laptop at the location you will be picking up the laptop:
- For those students at a Regional Campus please Contact Us to arrange delivery to a remote campus.
- At the time of pickup, a valid staff or student photo ID must be presented and a Security Agreement must be signed.
Returning a laptop
- Ensure that all essential documents and data are saved outside the laptop (cloud, flash drive). Library and Academic Services will wipe all information off of returned laptops.
- Notre Dame Campus – Return during regular Library Hours.
- Exchange District Campus – Return during regular Library Hours.
- Regional Campus – Contact Us to arrange a laptop return.
Loan period
- The maximum loan period is one academic term.

Red River College is not responsible for any hardware or software issues related to the laptops. If you are experiencing a hardware issue, please Contact Us.
If you require IT support, please contact ITS Service Desk for students. To submit a question, log on to HUB (https://hub.rrc.ca) and under Applications, click the ITS Service Desk link. IT support can also be contacted by phone: 204-632-2125 or email: servicedesk@rrc.ca.
Software
- All laptops come installed with Windows 10. Students must install Office 365 (instructions provided) and any other software.
- Program-specific software – For any software required that is specific to your program, please contact your Instructor or an Educational Assistant in your academic area for assistance.
