With our new cloudLibrary self-checkout system, library users can use the cloudLibrary app to scan books and journals and check them out on their own.

What devices are compatible with the app?
cloudLibrary Modules are compatible with devices running Android 5.0 and higher or iOS 9 and higher.
What is my cloudLibrary username?
This is your student/staff number, consisting of seven digits, with leading zeros included.
Do I need a pin or password?
You will need a four-digit pin. You can set your PIN by logging in to your library account , selecting "Personal Details," and then "Update your PIN (for self-checkout App)."
What types of items can I check out using the cloudLibrary system?
Books and journals. Other item types may be borrowed by visiting the Library Service Desk.
Will all my borrowed items show in cloudLibrary Assist?
Yes. Any item you have borrowed will show in the app. However, you will only get notifications for items borrowed via the self-check or cloudLibrary Checkout.
The cloudLibrary app says I need to "deactivate" my items. What do I do?
You need to place your checked-out items on the cloudLibrary pad at the front of the Library before they are completely checked out. Once you do this, the notification should disappear. If an item is stuck and cannot be de-activated, click the "i" icon in the upper right and follow the prompts to clear the item.
How long does your history remain in receipts?
The information will remain until deleted.
Can I turn off Notifications?
Yes. Use the Notification menu under the Account tab to manage your notifications.
Can I turn off geolocation?
Yes. Use the setting on your device or turn off the Virtual Card under Notification in the account tab.
Can I customize the icon or colours shown within the cloudLibrary app?
Yes, click on the "Account" button in the bottom menu. Then, look for the "Edit" link in the upper right corner.
