Communication Strategies Overview
This webpage is a compilation of resources and information available through Library & Academic Services to support instructors with students' skill development relating to the 11 core strategies within the core Communication courses at Red River College: COMM-1162, COMM-1173, COMM-2174, and COMM-3175. The resources in this webpage incorporate tools to develop and apply the 11 core strategies in class, at work, and at home for students to communicate and enhance their human skills.
This Strategies Handout summarizes the strategies used in the C-Skills courses. Use the handout to introduce the strategies to COMM-1173 students or to review them with COMM-2171, COMM-2174, or COMM-2172 students.
This guide, created by Library & Academic Services in conjunction with the Communication development team within MSC, includes books, ebooks, websites, LinkedIn Learning videos, and databases which have valuable information for students to develop communication skills and strategies. The guide also includes a specific component for Instructor Use.
Roadmap for C-Skills & Hybrid LEARNing Module Integration
This roadmap outlines the suite of Hybrid LEARNing Modules, developed by Library & Academic Services, that can be integrated within the Communication Skills framework. These co-curricular modules can be easily embedded into courses for additional teaching and learning support.
