What does Lesbian mean?

The L in 2SLGBTQIA+ stands for “lesbian.”

A woman or women that are sexually or romantically attracted to their gender or those that identify in some way toward the female end of the gender spectrum. Lesbianism is also called sapphism or female homosexuality. The term "Lesbian" originally referred to people or things from the Greek island of Lesbos. It is associated with the famous poet Sappho.
