Peer Coaching is a new service that is available to all enrolled students at Red River College Polytechnic. Peer Coaches are Peer Tutors who have completed additional training to help ease the transition to college for new students. Peer Coaches meet with students one-to-one virtually to:
Your Peer Coach will meet with you and lead a 1-hour session to share information, tips, study strategies, and answer any questions you may have. It is recommend that you book this session within the first two weeks of term. At the end of the session, your Peer Coach will discuss a plan to meet for your second and final coaching session.
Once you've participated in at least three weeks of classes, we invite you to book your second and final coaching session. During this meeting, you can share about your first few weeks of classes and bring your own questions for your Peer Coach to answer. These questions might include:
Peer Coaches will respond to your questions, share resources, and help connect you with the services and supports available at the College.
Students can book up to two 1-hour online appointments with a Peer Coach per week.
